More and more research comes out every day about how nutritional supplements ...vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other pills, potions, and powders that supplement our diet...may make us healthier. And more and more of us are taking them.
About 63% of Americans are now taking supplements. And most of us have no idea what's in them or how they affect us. We buy what the health food or vitamin store clerk recommends. Or we get them from someone who sells supplements in their spare time to make some extra dough. Or we take them because Aunt Mary or Joe Blow down the block thinks we should.
And have you tried to read up on supplements? It's like driving in a strange city without a map or directions. So many big and clinical words make the information almost impossible to understand.
So there's a real need for easy to understand information about supplements. Giving you this type of information is the purpose of this section.
